I LOVE the photos by this flickr poster (antimethod). The lighting and texture in this one (and most of his others) is amazing and I want to know how to do that. Is it photoshopped? I find it hard to believe that it isn't. Jess?

I believe that one of the comments on this image gets pretty close to how I would guess this was taken:
"I'll wager that the camera that took the picture was set to bulb (or an exposure several seconds long) in a room made as dark as possible. Then the photographer (assuming this is a self-portrait) jumped on a bed, and jumping in the air, snapped a photo with a point-and-shoot, giving the main camera some light to work with. If that's really what happened, I'm amazed that the wall could produce enough light for this -- maybe there's a slave flash hidden somewhere.
I also believe there are several layers of texture, manipulation of brightness contrast, desaturation of color, and masking.
This is just a guess.
These are really interesting photographs. It looks like they are heavily manipulated in Photoshop with various textures. Pretty interesting.
